When we talk about jobs pet care jobs, the first thing that strikes our mind is that of a veterinarian. But do you know there are more job roles to work with furry friends?

Well, most of us love animals and when it comes to pets, loving them becomes a requisite. Many people opt for jobs associated with pets out of sheer motivation to make a difference or people who are crazy about animals and know that a typical nine to five desk job is not for them.

Here is a list of pet care jobs for people passionate about animals, also jobs that pay well.

Pet Sitter
The work of a professional pet sitter is to take good care of the pets in pet’s own homes. All they need to do is provide them with water, food, shower love, give good attention and play with them, basically be with them when their owners are traveling or are away. Some sitters perform their jobs just during the day and some even offer overnight stays.

Dog Walker

This job typically involves walking five to six to eight hours per day, with one or more dogs. Also, the walkers mostly pick up poop en route. All you need to become a dog walker is a high school diploma and of course prior experience with pet care jobs.

Pet Groomer
Groomer makes sure that the dogs look their best by cleaning them and trimming their fur. There are cat groomers also. Work involves combing, bathing, nail cutting to shearing.

Veterinary Assistant
Veterinary assistants serve in a clinic or pet hospitals, assisting veterinarians to care for animals. They are accountable for helping vets with everyday tasks. Also, most veterinary assistants learn the functions of this job on the job. Certification isn’t needed, but it may benefit you to get promoted or receive a superior position.

Trainer

Animal trainers are liable for training pets for tasks, for instance, riding, show, obedience, or helping the disabled. They further help pets become more comfortable interacting with humans.
